National competition "Jugend musiziert 2024“
On Monday, 20.05.2024, the final round of this year's 'Jugend musiziert' competition took place. The winners of the previous regional and state-level competitions participated in the national competition. They competed again in categories such as solo, duo, and ensemble. Our ISR student Peter Tischtau and his duet partner Max Grube won the bronze medal in the age group 4 as a duo with 21 out of a maximum of 25 points in this final. Peter, who is mentored by Oxana Koppers from the Musikbox Oxana, and Max Grubbe, who was prepared by Ewa Messias, once again showed why passion and commitment pay off even at a young age.

Finally, many of our students were able to take part in the regional competitions at Jugend musiziert in Rhein-Kreis-Neuss, in Mönchengladbach and in Düsseldorf.
We accompanied 15 students there and they showed off their skills on the piano, violin and saxophone.
How happy our students, their parents and of course their lecturers were that ALL of them took first places - with high scores!
It is always wonderful to see the level of commitment and motivation with which our students and teachers take on these challenges of the competition - after long and often months of preparation.
A big compliment to all participants and lecturers - we are already looking forward to the next competitions!

BÜDERICH | (RP) Three students from the private school “Musicbox-Oxana” took first place in the “Jugend musiziert” competition in the Rhine District of Neuss.
The three students were prepared for the competition in the “Violin” category by the teaching team Denis Kryukov, violinist, and Oxana Koppers, pianist and music school director. They performed as the best in their age group.
“This is an outstanding result,” says Oxana Koppers happily.
Specifically, Xitong Peng (1st prize, 25 points) and Louisa Hubbert (1st prize, 24 points) took first places in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss rankings in their age group 1b, which only took place as a regional competition.
Due to his excellent placement, Zhun Jun Li (1st prize, 23 points) in the next higher age group II even made it to the state competition in North Rhine-Westphalia, which will be held shortly.
Unlike last year, the competition participants did not show their skills in the video, but on site in Meerbusch. Due to the Corona protection measures, only the participants were allowed to enter the buildings together with one parent and the music teacher.

Drum student Philipp Barth achieves 2nd place in the national competition ''Jugend musiziert''
For the first time, a student from “Musicbox Oxana” qualified to take part in the competition at the federal level. Philipp Barth’s passion is playing drums. He is 13 years old and a student at the International School in Neuss (ISR), where the private music school from Meerbusch runs its “Studio ISR”.
He has been taking drum lessons there for two years from the internationally renowned drummer Alexander Simonovsky. Philipp Barth was the only participant from North Rhine-Westphalia who achieved an excellent second place with 23 out of 25 points. Alexander Simonovsky, Philipp’s drum teacher, is very proud of the result achieved and his student’s great performance.
Oxana Koppers, the committed owner of the music school, which has been in existence for 10 years, is visibly impressed by this year's unexpected overall result and expresses her thanks to everyone involved in this success: “Of course, all of our students have achieved outstanding results; Philipp Barth has topped that again. Such success can only come about when several cogs, in this case talented, hard-working students, committed teachers and supportive parents, mesh together like they did here.”
